Being part of the chain of transport – whether you are a local liner agent, terminal operator, service provider, truck driver or customs authority – you need to have access to all relevant information regarding transport and handling of cargo.

The basic idea behind our system, PIC, is to collect all information on transport and cargo and make it available to all parties in the chain of transport. By providing a shared information platform, PIC binds all transport parties together in an information network.

PIC manages and controls the flow of information – from the time the cargo leaves the consignor to the time it arrives at the consignee. Transport parties can enter and draw out real-time, accurate information from the information centre in different contexts and for different purposes. Terminal operators receive orders for arrival and departure of units (by truck, train and vessel); service providers receive orders for services; shipping companies give and receive information on vessel calls; hauliers have on-line connection to the system from the individual trucks; custom authorities are informed of clearance and receive information on arrivals and departures, etc. In this way, PIC ensures a smooth and highly efficient flow of both transport and information.

A customized solution with a unique interface is provided for each transport party focusing on his/her functions and work procedures.
